Three ways

Way 1. A living slideshow
- Pick the photos and put them in the order you want. 8 to 12 shots for a one-minute clip.
- Prepare the shots: restore old photos first: restore an old photo with AI.
- Animate each photo with a video model in «from photo» mode, 5 or 6 seconds.
- Stitch them in a video editor and add music.
Prompts for animation:
Portrait:
The person slowly turns toward the camera and smiles softly, a light breeze moves the hair. Static camera. The face stays the same.
Group photo:
The people in the photo slightly turn their heads to each other and smile, subtle natural movement. Static camera.
Landscape or city:
Slow push in, clouds drift across the sky, trees move gently in the wind.
Product:
Slow orbit 30 degrees around the product, soft light glints across it. The product stays unchanged.
Rule: the less motion, the less the model changes the photo. For a slideshow a light push in and micro-movements are enough.
Way 2. A transition through start and end frames
You upload two shots: the first as the start frame, the second as the end frame. The model generates the motion between them.
Transition examples:
- a photo of a child → a photo of the same person as an adult;
- a room before renovation → after renovation: interior design with AI;
- a summer landscape → the same landscape in winter;
- a product in a box → the product in an interior.
Transition prompt:
Smooth cinematic transition from the first frame to the last frame, the camera slowly pushes in while the scene gradually changes. Keep the composition stable.
Tips:
- Shots with a similar composition and angle give a smooth transition, very different ones give strange transformations.
- On KADR (kadr-ai.ru) the first and last frame are accepted by Kling v3, Kling O1, Kling O3, Veo 3.1 (all three versions), Seedance (for Seedance 2.0, 2.0 Fast and 2.5 this is the «Frames» mode) and Wan 2.7. Hailuo 2.3, Grok Imagine, Wan 2.6 and Gemini Omni Flash take only the first frame.
Way 3. Several photos in one scene
Some models accept several photos at once as references and build one scene from them: the hero from one shot, the location from another, the product from a third. On KADR this is the «Standard» mode of Seedance 2.0, 2.0 Fast and 2.5 (up to 6 photos), Kling O3 (up to 7 photos), Gemini Omni Flash (up to 6 photos) and Wan 2.7 (up to 4 photos). In the prompt, refer to the photos by number: «the woman from image 1 in the kitchen from image 2». This is not a slideshow but one new scene.

Editing
- Music sets the rhythm: cut the clips to the beats of the track.
- Switch off sound in generation: music will go on top anyway, and many models are noticeably cheaper without sound (the top Veo 3.1 and Seedance 1.5 Pro almost half the price).
- Captions and dates are added in the editor.
- Length: 3 to 4 seconds per photo is usually enough, cut the rest.
For a greeting: AI video greeting.
