Where Seedance officially lives
Seedance is made by ByteDance, the company that owns TikTok and CapCut. Officially the models are available:
- in Dreamina (an international service from the makers of CapCut);
- in ByteDance’s Chinese services (Jimeng, Doubao);
- via the BytePlus API for developers and third-party services.
The last point matters: it is through the API that the model reaches aggregators, including Russian ones. The quality there is the same, because it is the same model.
Problems with Dreamina from Russia
Login. Reports contradict each other: for some people Dreamina opens from a Russian IP, for others it does not. There is no stability.
Payment. The ByteDance payment system does not accept Russian cards. You cannot buy a paid plan directly.
Free credits. Dreamina has a daily free limit and a one-time sign-up bonus. That is enough for a test but not for work: one generation on the flagship model eats a noticeable part of the limit.
Beware of fakes
Searching for «Seedance in Russian» brings up many sites that look official. ByteDance has no separate Russian-language Seedance website. Do not download «Seedance clients», do not enter card details on unfamiliar sites, and check who is behind a service and whether it lists its company details.
