These are the official requirements for static stickers. Animated and video stickers use other formats.
Step 1. The character
Model: Nano Banana Pro, 2K, 1:1 format. Upload your photo.
Create an original cartoon sticker character based on the person from the uploaded photo: keep the hairstyle, hair color, glasses and recognizable features, simplified chibi proportions with a big head. Full body, front view, happy pose, waving one hand. Thick white outline around the character, solid pure white background, bold clean flat colors, no text. 1:1
Put in your own features: glasses, a beard, favourite clothes.
Step 2. Emotions
Upload the picture from step 1.
Using the character from the uploaded image, create a sticker sheet with 6 emotions arranged in a 3 by 2 grid with plenty of empty space between them: laughing, thumbs up, crying with big tears, angry, surprised, sleeping. Keep the character identical in every sticker: same face, hair, clothes, colors and outline style. Each sticker has a thick white outline. Solid pure white background, no text. 3:2
A sheet of several emotions in one generation keeps the character more stable than 6 separate generations. For a pack of 12 stickers, make two sheets.
Step 3. A sticker with an inscription
Using the character from the uploaded image, the character waves and holds a small sign with the text «Привет!» in bold rounded letters. Thick white outline, solid pure white background. 1:1
(«Привет!» means «Hi!».)
Nano Banana Pro writes short Russian inscriptions legibly, but check each one.
Step 4. Preparing the files
- Cut the sheet into separate stickers.
- Remove the white background in an editor or a background removal service. The white outline around the character stays, and that is how it should be.
- Resize to 512 px on the longer side.
- Save as PNG or WEBP and check that the file is under 512 KB.
Step 5. Uploading to Telegram
- Open the @Stickers bot and send /newpack.
- Enter the name of the pack.
- Send the stickers as files, not as photos, so that Telegram does not compress them.
- After each sticker, send an emoji.
- Finish with the /publish command and come up with a short link for the pack.
What not to do
- Stickers with celebrity faces and other people’s characters: not allowed without consent, and such packs get blocked after complaints. More: other brands, logos and characters.
- Generating each emotion separately without uploading the original character: it will be different every time.
The character can also be made in anime style: yourself in anime style with AI.
