How many seconds each model makes
| Model | Maximum per generation |
|---|---|
| Veo 3.1, Fast, Lite | 8 s |
| Grok Imagine Video | 10 s |
| Seedance 1.5 Pro | 12 s |
| Kling v3 | 15 s |
| Seedance 2.0 | 15 s |
| Seedance 2.5 | 30 s |
| Kling 4.0 (no sound) | 30 s |
Step 1. Storyboard
Split the clip into scenes of 5 to 15 seconds. For each one:
- what is in the frame;
- one action;
- camera movement;
- how the scene connects to the next one (continuation of the same movement or an editing cut).
A minute usually needs 6 to 10 scenes. It is convenient to ask ChatGPT, Claude or DeepSeek for the script: AI product ad video.
Step 2. Key images
Make pictures of the hero and the main locations in Nano Banana Pro. Use them as references or first frames in all scenes. This is the main way to keep one hero and one setting: character consistency.
Step 3. The «last frame becomes the first» trick
When one scene has to continue another without a cut:
- Generate the first clip.
- Save its last frame as an image.
- Upload this image as the first frame of the second clip.
- Describe how the action continues.
The hero, the light and the setting carry over automatically, and the joint is almost invisible.
Step 4. Long scenes in Seedance 2.5
Seedance 2.5 makes up to 30 seconds in a single pass, so a minute is assembled from just two generations with only one joint. KADR (kadr-ai.ru) has no separate button for extending a finished clip: make the second half with the trick from step 3, uploading the last frame of the first half as the first frame («Frames» mode). Step 5. Editing
- Place cuts on a change of shot or on a music beat: the viewer perceives them as ordinary editing.
- Lay music and voice-over on top, and switch sound off in the generations: on Veo and Kling this is about one and a half times cheaper (on Seedance 2.x sound is already included in the price).
- Even out the colour between scenes in the editor if it drifts a little.
What to choose
- An edited clip of short shots (ad, reels, music video): Veo 3.1 or Kling v3, joined by editing.
- A continuous scene (walking through rooms, a story without cuts): Seedance 2.5.
- A cartoon with one hero: Seedance 2.0 with a hero reference.
Comparison of models over 30 seconds: Seedance 2.5, Kling or Veo.

In short
A long AI video is assembled from short scenes following a storyboard. The cuts are hidden with the «last frame becomes the first» trick, the same references for the hero and locations and editing on a change of shot. Seedance 2.5 makes up to 30 seconds at a time, and two generations are enough for a minute. A minute in 1080p costs from 840 rubles.
